...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT DUE TO DRY LIGHTNING FOR NORTHERN BLACK HILLS, CENTRAL BLACK HILLS, SOUTHERN BLACK HILLS, FALL RIVER COUNTY AREA, NORTHERN FOOT HILLS, EASTERN FOOT HILLS, CUSTER COUNTY PLAINS, PINE RIDGE AREA, BUTTE COUNTY AREA, PERKINS COUNTY, WEST CENTRAL PLAINS, ZIEBACH COUNTY, HAAKON COUNTY AREA, BADLANDS AREA, BENNETT COUNTY AREA, NORTHERN CAMPBELL, SOUTHERN CAMPBELL, CROOK COUNTY PLAINS, WESTON COUNTY PLAINS, AND WYOMING BLACK HILLS...
.Thunderstorms expected to develop across northeastern Wyoming into western South Dakota Saturday afternoon and evening. These storms are expected to be high based and produce frequent lightning with little to no rainfall as they move through. The dry storm risk combined with very hot temperatures in the upper 90s to 100s, very low humidities of 15 to 20 percent, and dry fuels, critical fire weather conditions are expected tomorrow afternoon and evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, 331, 332, and 333.
* TIMING...From noon today to midnight MDT tonight.
* LIGHTNING...Frequent dry lightning is possible with thunderstorms.
* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty and erratic winds are possible in and near any thunderstorms.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Thunderstorms with little to no rain, gusty and erratic winds, and frequent lightning are possible.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
