* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 247 PM EDT, The automated gauge at McConnelsville on the Muskingum River was reading 8.6 feet and rising. The forecast calls for a crest of 9 feet this evening. Due to the recent dam replacement, the official flood stage is no longer representative of known impacts. Flooding of areas away from the gauge can be expected at lower stages. At a stage of 7.5 feet, sections of Route 669 above Malta begin to flood along with low-lying areas near the river, including recreational boat ramps. In addition, Cottonwood Drive just below McConnelsville floods. At a stage of 9 feet, seasonal camps along the river and low sections of Route 60 just above McConnelsville flood. Additionally, homes along Cottonwood Drive may experience flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
