...The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Kansas...
Arkansas River At Coolidge affecting Hamilton County.
For the Arkansas River...including Coolidge...elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Arkansas River at Coolidge.
* WHEN...From this morning to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Expect minor flooding in pastureland and farmland adjacent to the river. Low water areas along the unpaved River Road south of the Arkansas River will have water over the road... Exercise extreme caution.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:15 AM MDT Friday the stage was 6.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.4 feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 7.6 feet tomorrow evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Action stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
