* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.

* WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 301 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and embedded thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Brush Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Arnold Branch, Beaver Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Bee Tree Branch, Big Pine Creek, Bussels Creek, Big Warrior Creek and Big Bugaboo Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
