Southwest wind gusts will increase to 30-35 mph in eastern Oregon this afternoon while RH remains 8-15%. The most critical area will be Burns BLM. Isolated thunderstorms will also develop in eastern Oregon this afternoon east of Burns BLM. Storms may produce outflow wind gusts to 50 mph.

Scattered thunderstorms will also develop in south-central Idaho this afternoon, particularly in the southern Highlands between 2 PM and 8 PM MDT. Thunderstorms will produce outflow wind gusts to 50 mph along with abundant lightning.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, Fire Weather Zones 670 Burns BLM, 671 Steens Mountain and 672 Southern Grasslands.

* TIMING...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM PDT this evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 18 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...86 to 94 degrees.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated coverage.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
