West Fork Big Blue River Near Dorchester affecting Saline and Seward Counties.
.This gauge has already crested and river levels will continue to fall.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Fork Big Blue River near Dorchester.
* WHEN...Until late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Though only minor flooding is occurring at the gage, upstream near Beaver Crossing more severe flooding is likely ongoing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM CDT Friday was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 5.0 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.6 feet on 07/02/1982. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
