The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Posey County in southwestern Indiana... Vanderburgh County in southwestern Indiana...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 301 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Evansville, Mount Vernon, Newburgh, Melody Hill, Darmstadt, Kasson and Blairsville.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Pigeon Creek, Barr Creek, Eagle Creek, Neu Creek, Indian Creek, Cypress Slough, Little Creek, Bayou Creek, Little Pigeon Creek, Tri Brook, McFadden Creek, Lick Creek, Wolf Creek, Mound Slough, Jordan Creek, Big Creek, Olive Creek, Locust Creek, McAdoo Creek and Ohio River.
