...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in Arizona...
Gila River At Gila River at Duncan affecting Greenlee County.
Gila River Near Gila River near Solomon affecting Graham County.
Gila River Near Gila River at Calva affecting Graham County.
For the Upper Gila...including Gila River at Duncan, Gila River at Calva, Gila River near Solomon...elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT...The Gila River is expected to exceed bankfull levels at 16 feet this afternoon and remain above bankfull into this evening due to excessive rainfall that occurred in previous days.
* WHERE...Gila River at Gila River at Duncan.
* WHEN...Until late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, water could begin to damage the dike structure that protects Duncan.
At 18.0 ft, water can reach near the top of the dike structure and may cause erosion downstream of the bridge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:30 AM MST Thursday the stage was 12.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 12.4 feet early this afternoon. It will then rise to 17.2 feet this evening. It will then fall and remain below flood stage during the early morning hours Friday. - Action stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
