Details

At 158 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17 miles south of Halls Crossing, or 51 miles west of Mexican Hat, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central San Juan and east central Kane Counties.
This storm will be capable of producing strong gusty winds on Lake Powell. This will lead to a sudden increase in waves and very choppy waters which will result in hazardous boating conditions. Boaters are urged to seek safe harbor if possible.
