The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Alert for Ground Level Ozone, until 11 PM EDT this evening.
An Air Quality Alert day means that Ground Level Ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed levels that are Unhealthy.
Air is unhealthy. Everyone may begin to experience health effects, and sensitive children and adults, such as those with asthma, lung or heart disease, and older adults, may experience more serious effects. Everyone should reduce the time spent and intensity of activities outdoors and take more breaks. Sensitive children and adults should consider moving indoors or rescheduling outdoor activities.
