Flash Flood Warning

At 522 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. 1.5 to 3 inches of rain have fallen on already saturated soils. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring, with broadcast media reporting several flooded streets and basements in Paxton.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset, significant flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, low-lying areas, and poor drainage areas. Widespread street and underpass flooding. Possible flooding of structures. Possible flooding of highways.
