* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Maine, including the following county, Piscataquis.
* WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Washouts of dirt roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1213 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving through the area at 20 to 25 mph. This will cause small stream and creek flooding, potentially causing significant washouts of dirt roads. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Rainfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inch per hour falling. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This area is very soaked from previous rainfall earlier Friday. Any heavy rainfall will result in minor flooding and possible road washouts. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dover-Foxcroft, Guilford, Brownville Junction, Milo, Monson, Ebeemee, Orneville, Sangerville, Brownville, Parkman, Abbot, Sebec, Atkinson, Medford, Willimantic, Bowerbank, Barnard, Williamsburg and Katahdin Iron Works. - For flood safety visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood
