For the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...

At 549 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near U.S. 301 Nice Memorial Bridge to 9 nm southwest of Colonial Beach to 21 nm south of Fairview Beach, moving east at 40 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots.

SOURCE...Observed wind.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds.

Locations impacted include... Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point, Mouth Of The Potomac River, Point Lookout, Tall Timbers, Cobb Island, Coltons Point, Coles Point, Saint George Island, Wicomico River, and White Point Beach.
