At 439 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Harrells to near Bethel. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Whiteville, Mullins, Burgaw, Iredell, Rowan, Carolina Shores, Tabor City, Loris, Chadbourn, Bethel, Lake Waccamaw, Fair Bluff, Northwest, Sandyfield, Penderlea, Makatoka, Point Caswell, Hallsboro, Maple Hill, and Long Creek.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 389 and 406.
