* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Eastern Adams County in south central Nebraska... Clay County in south central Nebraska... Fillmore County in south central Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 815 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that most of the Advisory area had picked up mainly 1.5 to 3.5 inches of rain in the last few hours. Primarily minor/nuisance is likely occurring or will yet occur within the Advisory area, including possible minor flooding of small creeks and streams, and possibly a few rural roads. At least portions of the Advisory area could receive another 1-2 inches of rain before rain eases up later tonight, and additional rain could fall during the day Thursday before rain completely ends for several days. - This includes but is not limited to the following streams anddrainages... West Fork Big Blue River, Turkey Creek, Little Sandy Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Pawnee Creek, School Creek, Scott Creek, Buffalo Creek, North Branch West Fork Big Blue River, South Fork Johnson Creek, Walnut Creek, South Fork Turkey Creek, North Fork Johnson Creek, Dry Sandy Creek, South Fork Big Sandy Creek, Dove Creek, Little Blue River, Ash Creek, Elk Run Creek, North Fork Turkey Creek, Indian Creek, Flat Creek, Crooked Creek, Thirtytwo Mile Creek, Liberty Creek and Oak Creek. - Some locations that could experience mainly minor floodinginclude... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
