At 332 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. Significant street flooding in Ames is starting to subside as rain rates are lessening. However, additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
