The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Garfield County in southern Utah... Northeastern Kane County in southern Utah...

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 415 PM MDT, the river gauge on the Escalante River at Escalante indicated a second flood wave near 1160 cfs that will be surging down the Escalante River. The Flash Flood Warning has been extended until 700 PM MDT. Up to 1.25 inches of rain has fallen primarily near the town of Escalante. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
