Flash Flood Warning

At 158 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area, and additonal rainfall is likely. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Lincoln Park, Kinnelon, Boonton, Butler, Riverdale, Pequannock Township, Green Pond and Lake Telemark.

This includes Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 46 and 53.
