* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 100.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Fond du Lac Band, the Bad River Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, Hinckley, Lena Lake and, East Lake areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
