The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Wirt County in northwestern West Virginia... South Central Wood County in northwestern West Virginia...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 349 PM EDT, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.8 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Elizabeth, Palestine, Morristown, Cherry and Rockport.

This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 159 and 166.

Little Kanawha River, Left Fork Sandy Creek, Road Run, Chestnut Run, Rockcamp Run, North Fork Lee Creek, Deaver Fork, Tygart Creek, Two Ripple Run, Buck Creek, Bear Run, Burgess Run, Standingstone Creek, Burning Springs Run, Left Fork Straight Creek, Straight Creek, Ballard Run, Little Tygart Creek, Reedy Creek, Holmes Run, Lynncamp Run, Ratcliff Run, Slate Creek, Pond Creek, South Fork Hughes River, Buell Fork, Tucker Creek, Fivemile Run and Oil Rock Run.
