For the following areas... S of Cape Hatteras NC to Ocracoke Inlet NC out to 20 NM... S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...

At 647 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 6 nm southeast of Ar250 to 13 nm east of Atlas Tanker, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Ar250 and Atlas Tanker.
