For the following areas... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM...

At 1010 AM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located 21 nm south of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, or 37 nm southeast of Timbalier Island, moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

A cluster of severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
