High Surf Advisory

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...West and north facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong monsoon pattern continues to produce hazardous surf and a high risk of rip currents along west and north facing reefs through Thursday afternoon. The High Surf Advisory and High Rip Current Risk may be extended again as the monsoon pattern, and associated west to northwest swells, continue into next week.
