The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Fillmore County in southeastern Minnesota...

* Until 545 AM CDT.

* At 426 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Preston, Spring Valley, Harmony, Mabel, Canton, Highland, Cherry Grove, Bristol, Newburg, Amherst, York, Carimona, Ostrander, Hutton, Granger, Forestville State Park, Greenleafton and Henrytown.
