At 930 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of the warned area. Roadway flooding has been reported in the Phoenixville area. This heavy rain in a short period of time is also moving across central Montgomery County. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen in portions of the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Philadelphia, Norristown, Phoenixville, Lansdale, West Norriton, East Norriton, Perkasie, Doylestown, Conshohocken, Hatboro, Souderton and Ambler.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 12 and 19. Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 327 and 334. Northeast Extension between mile markers 21 and 36. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 317 and 344.
