* WHAT...Heat index values as high as 100-108 degrees.

* WHERE...Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks, and Smith Counties.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to increased cloud cover today, there is some uncertainty whether temperatures and heat index will get quite as hot as currently expected. If things do stay a touch cooler, any heat index of 105 or higher will be most favored to occur within the southern-most counties of this Advisory...Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell.
