Flash Flood Warning

At 400 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chiricahua National Monument.

This includes the following highways... Route 181 between mile markers 53 and 64. Route 186 between mile markers 355 and 359.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Witch Creek, Pinery Creek, Turkey Creek, Fivemile Creek, West Whitetail Creek and Big Sand Wash.
