Flash Flood Warning

At 953 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Water reported over Highway 17 near New Boston, IL and flooding on roadways in Grandview, IA. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts under a quarter inch are anticipated in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Aledo, Wapello, Millersburg, New Boston, Grandview, Eliza, Joy, Mannon, Toolesboro, Hamlet, Petersville, Snively Access Campground, Flaming Prairie Park, Marston, Mercer County Fairgrounds, Aledo Mercer County Airport and Gingle Corners.
