* Until 715 PM EDT.
* At 408 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.25 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Columbia, Forest Acres, Dentsville, Arcadia Lakes, Fort Jackson, Woodfield, Sesquicentennial State Park, Fort Jackson Cantonment Area, Fort Jackson Wildcat Road and Rosewood.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 74 and 82. Interstate 77 between mile markers 4 and 17.
