* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 111. For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 115 expected, as well as temperatures up to 103 to 105.

* WHERE...In Louisiana, Avoyelles, Evangeline, Rapides, St. Landry, and Vernon Parishes. In Texas, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, and Tyler Counties.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 10 AM to 8 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
