At 1214 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles south of Chewelah, or 32 miles northwest of Spokane, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Chewelah, Springdale, Cusick, Valley, Chewelah Peak, Usk, Loon Lake, and 49 Degrees North.
This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 20 in Washington between mile markers 421 and 423. U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 189 and 210.
