At 802 PM EDT, emergency management reported residents are unable to exit their homes along Reeceville Road in West Brandywine. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is up to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... West Chester, Coatesville, Downingtown, Parkesburg, Honey Brook, Elverson, Glenmoore, Marshallton, Lionville, Lionville-Marchwood, Chester Springs and West Goshen.
This includes Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 301 and 317.
