Walnut River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County.

Walnut River at Winfield affecting Cowley and Butler Counties.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Walnut River at Arkansas City.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Considerable flooding of farmland is expected. Widespread flooding of the park just upstream of the gage site is anticipated. East Chestnut Avenue east of By-pass is closed due to water over roadway. Greens Farm Road floods between Highway 166 north to Dunbar Hill.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 21.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
