* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northeastern Madison County in western North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 630 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Ample rainfall has already developed across the Laurel Creek, Calvin Creek, and Middle Fork California Creek watersheds, and radar suggests additional heavy rainfall is inbound.
Nuisance flooding is likely already underway in low-lying areas. Some remote mountain roadways, including Foster Creek Road, Chandler Cove Road, and Big Laurel Road, may experience nuisance flooding or even become impassable. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
