The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Tazewell County in central Illinois... South Central Woodford County in central Illinois...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 652 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... East Peoria, Morton, Washington, Goodfield and Deer Creek.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 74 between mile markers 101 and 111. Interstate 155 between mile markers 29 and 31.
