For the following areas... Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound...

At 254 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Blackwater Bay Bridge, or 18 nm northeast of Pensacola Pass, moving west at 5 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... East Bay, Escambia Bay Bridge, Escambia Bay, and Garcon Point Bridge.
