The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Friday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 200 Little Snake Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 202 White River Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area.

* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon to 9 PM MDT Friday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 14 percent.

* IMPACTS...Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically.
