* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, including the following areas, Northern Litchfield and Southern Litchfield and east central New York, including the following areas, Eastern Dutchess and Western Dutchess.
* WHEN...Through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - While the heaviest rain continues to occur mainly south of the area, pockets of moderate to locally heavy rain continues to be possible through the overnight hours. While the flash flood threat is decreasing, some flooding of urban and poor drainage areas remains possible. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.50 to 1.50 inches appears likely though tonight with some locally heavy amounts where heavier pockets of rain sit over one location for an extended period of time. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
