Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Moore, Sampson, Scotland and Wayne.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1108 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayetteville, Laurinburg, Clinton, Raeford, Mount Olive, Lillington, Fort Bragg, Dunn, Benson, Harrells, Godwin, Pope AAF, Antioch, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Erwin, Eastover, Coats, Roseboro and Stedman. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
