At 211 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 nm southwest of Jekyll Island to near Amelia City to 10 nm west of Mayport, moving northeast at 20 knots.
