* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...West Central Greeley County in central Nebraska... Southeastern Valley County in central Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of area creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Although excess water continues to gradually recede and drain into area creeks and rivers, it could take at least a few more hours for the majority of flooded areas to truly see improvement.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 450 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that as much as 3 to 5.5 inches of rain fell overnight into early this morning, causing mainly minor flooding issues in various locations, including water likely covering some rural gravel or dirt roads. Fortunately, no additional rain is expected through at least sunset, but some rain could fall overnight into Wednesday morning, including a small chance of amounts at least 1 inch. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Mira Creek, North Branch Mira Creek, South Branch Mira Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... North Loup. - As of 445 PM CDT, an automated gauge along the Mira Creek near North Loup reported a stage of 9.59 feet, slightly above the minor flood stage of 9 feet. However, the creek appears to be cresting and starting to very slowly fall. At a stage of 9 feet, minor flooding occurs, with water spilling into fields and low-lying areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
