* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minor coastal flooding.
* WHERE...North, south, and west facing reefs of Tinian and Saipan.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated swells emanating from the southwesterly monsoon surge and Typhoon Choi-wan (26W) to the north will allow advisory-level surf and a high risk of rip currents to continue longer than previously anticipated. A Coastal Flood Statement remains in effect as minor coastal flooding is expected.
