Special Weather Statement

Areas of rain on Tuesday will transition to snow in the Eastern Brooks Range Tuesday evening. Snow then continues through the day on Wednesday. Given the rain beforehand, snow will struggle to accumulate immediately but there will be minor accumulations by Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon there may be a brief break, allowing snow to gradually melt. Then snow returns Wednesday evening before diminishing into snow showers Thursday morning.

Snowfall totals will be around 3 to 6 inches at the peaks of the mountains with 1 to 3 inches in Atigun Pass and an inch or less in Anaktuvuk Pass.
