Extreme Heat Warning

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 94. For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 99 expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Pine, South Aitkin, and South and Cass Counties. In Wisconsin, Burnett and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 9 PM CDT this evening. For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM Sunday to 1 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Little to no relief from the heat is possible Sunday night as continued very warm heat indices in the 70s are forecast Sunday night.
