WHAT...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants.

WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN...400 PM Saturday August 08 to 400 PM Sunday August 09

IMPACTS...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Elevated levels of ozone and wildfire smoke are possible through Sunday afternoon. The highest ozone levels are expected in and near the Denver metro area. The heaviest wildfire smoke is expected in northern parts of the Front Range, including Ft. Collins, Greeley, and surrounding areas. For Colorado air quality conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit: https://www.colorado.gov/airquality/colorado_summary.aspx If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026. HEALTH INFORMATION...Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms in sensitive individuals, aggravation of heart or lung disease and premature mortality in people with cardiopulmonary disease and older adults. People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion Saturday and Sunday. Everyone else should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
