St Johns River Near Astor affecting Volusia and Lake Counties.

.The St Johns River at Astor remains within Minor Flood Stage due to tidal effects. River levels are forecast to gradually subside this week but remain within Minor Flood stage.

For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...St Johns River near Astor.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 2.3 feet, Many docks become submerged along the river and in canals in the Astor community. Water enters yards of properties on Bartram Road, Holiday Circle and along Wild Hog Road on the Lake County side. In Volusia County, water encroaches yards of homes on the river side of Alice Drive. No wake zones are in effect from near the South Moon Canal to approximately 800 feet south of the Riverview lodge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 2.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM EDT Tuesday was 2.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to very slowly subside from 2.6 feet tonight to 2.3 feet late this week. - Flood stage is 2.3 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 2.6 feet on 10/14/1996. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
