At 555 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Aneth, or 35 miles northwest of Shiprock, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Aneth, Montezuma Creek, and Hovenweep National Monument.
This includes the following highways... Utah 162 between mile markers 17 and 31. Colorado 41 between mile markers 7 and 9.
