An incoming system will move over the panhandle Sunday into Monday, bringing extended periods of moderate to heavy rain for the southern panhandle. Highest rain rates are expected during Sunday evening and overnight, primarily for Ketchikan, Metlakatla, and Misty Fjords. Highest uncertainty is the location of heaviest rain, which has a 30% chance to shift east of Ketchikan and Metlakatla. Small streams and rivers may rise, but no flooding is expected at this time.
