.Breezy westerly winds through the Cascade gaps will likely (60- 80% chance) overlap with low relative humidity and generate Red Flag conditions Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Poor to fair overnight RH recovery is anticipated Friday night.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 701 Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and 702 East Slopes of the Mt. Hood National Forest.

* TIMING...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 17 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
