* WHAT...High temperatures during the peak of the heat on Thursday and Friday in the mid 80s near the beaches to the mid to upper 90s for the mesas and other higher coastal terrain expected. Low temperatures will be mostly in the 70s.

* WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
